Malware writer’s clever trick
January 7th, 2009 Posted in Computers, UnspecificWhen is AUTORUN.INF really an AUTORUN.INF?
From F-Secure. An interesting little trick. The AUTORUN.INF looks like a binary file so expetced to not work as an AUTORUN.INF should work. But to someone paying close attention, the binary portions are actually commented out with a ; at the beginning of each like and there is a real run line in the middle of all the garbage. Neat trick as most people looking at it would not catch it.
