Another guy on the net talking about nothing specific.

nmap book

September 23rd, 2008 Posted in Computers, Unspecific

Fyodor has announced the latest release of nmap recently.  In the announcement he also talked about the book and the current status.  He also mentioned that the 1st chapter, “Getting started with nmap” is available online.  In this chapter is a sections I co-authored called “MadHat in Wonderland” and it references the nmap tools I wrote and are availbale here.

Nothing too exciting, but there you go.

Also keep an eye out on this site for new tools and updates.  I am getting back into security and the OS security community.  Be sure and check out DC214, the local DefCon group I run, with the help of a few members of course.  I’ll be presenting in October about nmap, ZenMap and NSE.  I also have some interest in how OpenVAS (Open Source branch of Nessus) is doing.
